About CardNugget
CardNugget started with a binder and a question: how much is all this worth, without spending an evening on it?
Why it exists
Pricing a collection usually means typing card names one by one into a website, then wondering which of the twenty reprints is the right one. CardNugget replaces that with a gesture: show the card, read the price.
It is designed for collectors, but just as much for parents who find a binder in the attic and want an honest idea of its value in a few minutes.
Who builds it
CardNugget is designed and developed independently by Simon Sicard.
Five rules it will not break
- 1
No image leaves the phone
Recognition is entirely local. Only a catalog identifier, or at worst the text read on the card, is sent.
- 2
No invented price
No reliable source, no price. Every price shows its source and date.
- 3
Never identified by name alone
The printed number dominates. When unsure, you choose between candidates.
- 4
Zero third-party code in the app
Apple's frameworks only: no SDK, no analytics, no advertising.
- 5
Honest about limits
Partial coverage, estimated totals, edition priced on its twin: the app says it.
